This is an urgent notice to all CC site user who is using Advertisement Manager plugin. This plugin went wild generating numerous emails for unknown reason. The result of this is your site send out a huge amount of paid email and users just flush in and overload your site. We suspect this is due to a flaw in the script which is causing the problem when the PHP and MySQL is upgraded to the latest version. However, an attack targetted on this script is a possibility. We have temporarily disabled this plugin. We suggest to uninstall this plugin and use the email ad scheduler that come with the latest version of cc instead.

There are also further steps needed to be taken to bring your site back to normal. The plugin has now created numerous (thousands) email inside your site and your database has grown to a huge size. We suggest you delete ALL existing emails. Otherwise your site will be terribly slow when you try to enter your cc admin panel.

We have removed all paid emails from sites that have created more than 1000 paid emails over the past 2-3 days. We have daily database backup. Just let us know if you wish to restore an earlier copy of database. We suggest u to restore a database of March 30th which is the time where most of these crazy emails are created.

There is still some aftermath. As these malfunction sites sent nearly a new paid emails every few minutes. Our mail servers are stucked with paid emails. It will take a day or two before these emails are clear. So the paid emails sent out in coming 2 days might take a day or two before they reach your members.

Some updates. We notice that some user who are purchasing the script from cashplugins do not have this problem. Only those using a "free" or "pirated?" version have the problem.

We confirmed that most of the sites are actually running a pirated script. It is this old pirated script that is causing the problem. You could purchase the latest licensed version. It will run correctly. Please let me know if you wish to purchase a licensed copy.

It seems that those running version 1.11-3 will not have this problem. I suggest those using version 1.11 to upgrade to 1.11-3 and let me know when your upgrade is complete.

OK All sites running version 1.11-3, the plugin has been reactivated. Please keep an eye on your site and make sure that they are running properly. Those who are running version 1.11, please upgrade to version 1.11-3 as soon as possible.

We finally locate the bug and know why the script doesn't work for some in MySQL 5.0. We will distrubute the bug fixed file to all and the script will be working normally within the next few hours.
